Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She relocated to California at age five. She was raised mainly within Orange County. She graduated in the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015, which was the year in which she received her big break in acting. After making small appearances on NCIS and Leverage Pernas landed the role of Marisa Sierras in The Young and the Restless. In 2016, after leaving the soap she was offered a character role of Catalina in Jane the Virgin. The model who speaks four languages has been seen on The Brave, The Green Ghost, and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. The actress played Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure between 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly reported in May 2020, that Pernas was on the verge of dating Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless.
