Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a popular American following her win on American Idol's debut season. She was not only launched into stardom by her win and announcing an agreement to record multiple albums in the company of RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records. Since then she has made several studio albums, including three which topped the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly did not make it to the top. She's one of the biggest performers to emerge from American Idol. She experimented as she gained recognition for her various themes and musical styles, often writing songs of her own. Her work was praised by critics and a number of prestigious awards for her individuality and vocal talent. She was awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. In addition, she has appeared on film and television. She also wrote the kids' storybook River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with various charitable organizations.
